Where to stay

1. White Beach

White Beach is the most popular area in Boracay, known for its powdery white sand and crystal-clear waters. Divided into three sections (Station 1, Station 2, and Station 3), White Beach offers a wide range of accommodation options, from budget-friendly hostels to luxury resorts. It's also packed with restaurants, bars, water sports activities, and nightlife. Backpackers and travellers seeking a lively, party atmosphere should head to Station 2.

2. Bulabog Beach

Located on the opposite side of White Beach, Bulabog Beach is a magnet for water sports enthusiasts, especially kiteboarders and windsurfers. It has a more laid-back and relaxed vibe compared to White Beach. If you're a backpacker or traveller seeking a quieter atmosphere with fewer crowds, Bulabog Beach is a great option. The area offers a mix of cheap accommodations and small guesthouses.

3. Diniwid Beach

Just a short walk from White Beach, Diniwid Beach provides a more secluded and peaceful experience compared to the busier parts of Boracay. Travelers looking for a quieter and more intimate beachfront stay will enjoy the boutique resorts and guesthouses available in this area.

4. Puka Beach

Located on the northern part of Boracay, Puka Beach offers more natural and untouched beauty. It features coarser white sand and is way less developed compared to White Beach. Puka Beach is perfect for travellers seeking a quieter and more secluded beach experience. While the accommodation options here are limited, it is worth considering a day trip to enjoy the untouched beauty and quiet surroundings.

Transport

Tricycle

One of the most popular and convenient ways to get around Boracay is by tricycle. These motorised vehicles are widely available and can comfortably accommodate a few passengers. You can easily find them along the main roads or place a call for one to pick you up from your accommodation.

Walking

Given Boracay's small size, many visitors find walking to be an enjoyable way to explore. The famous White Beach stretches for over 4 kilometers and offers stunning views, making a stroll well worth the effort.

Motorbike Rentals

If you prefer more flexibility, you could rent a motorbike. Several rental shops are available near the beach. This option allows you to explore the island at your own pace, but ensure you have a valid driver's license and always wear a helmet.

Private Car Rentals

For those looking for a more comfortable mode of transport, private car rentals are available. Companies provide various vehicles that can be rented for hours or the entire day, which is ideal for groups or families.

Boat Transfers

To reach some of Boracay's hidden gems and nearby islands, you can take a boat transfer. Numerous local operators offer tours and transfers to places like Crocodile Island and Crystal Cove. This is a great way to experience the beautiful waters surrounding the island.

Ride-Hailing Services

Although Boracay is relatively small, ride-hailing services like Grab are available on the island. This app-operated service provides a convenient option for those who prefer to book their rides through their smartphones, especially when traveling at nighttime or during peak hours.
