Dubrovnik offers a stunning coastal lifestyle. The old town's maze of stone streets and sea views are a gorgeous backdrop, but be warned - the place can feel like a museum, especially in peak tourist season.
There's tons of cafes and a few co-working spots where the wifi is decent enough for video calls and deep work. However, since the city draws crowds from all over the world, quiet spots might require a bit of hunting about. The internet is generally solid, but it's worth testing a few places before settling in for a long work session.
Living here isn't as cheap as some other areas in Croatia. Prices in the heart of Dubrovnik can be high as it's quite touristy. Head a little further out though and you'll definitely find cheaper deals on food and accom.
There's not a huge digital nomad community either, so if you're used to networking and meetups, you might need to look elsewhere. Still, the blend of work and cool local culture can be a nice change of pace if you're after something different.
