Ho Chi Minh City (or Saigon as it used to be known), has loads of spots to work from - from modern co-working spaces to little hidden cafes that let you grind out work without much distraction. Internet is decent in most cases, although it's worth checking reviews if you need super fast speeds.

The roads here are absolutely manic, with motorbikes weaving through packed streets and a vibe that can feel exciting and a bit overwhelming. The city's cheap living costs is a massive plus, but the traffic and and general mayhem can be a challenge.

The city is cool with old colonial buildings sat alongside shiny new skyscrapers, and busy local markets filling the air with smells and noise There's a growing community of nomads too, though it's not as large as in some other regional hubs such as Bangkok.

Generally, Ho Chi Minh City is an urban madhouse where work and local cultures collide - a good choice if you're up for balancing convenience with a bit of everyday chaos, streetfood and banging nightlife.
